Private-Launch Terms of Use

Independent software service
ClaimScope is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. References to VA describe the subject matter of the service and do not imply government approval.
Self-service use does not create an attorney-client relationship
ClaimScope was founded by lawyers and VA-accredited attorneys. Use of the self-service website, purchase of an automated review, upload of records, or receipt of generated work product does not create an attorney-client relationship or appoint a representative.
Separate attorney-advised pathway
A user may submit a request for attorney eligibility review concerning an issue VA has already decided. An intake request authorizes only conflicts, fee-eligibility, deadline, and capacity screening. No legal advice or representation begins unless an identified attorney separately accepts the matter in writing, the parties sign an engagement agreement, and any required VA appointment and fee documents are completed. ClaimScope may decline any matter. Submission does not extend a deadline.
Decision support—not a filing service
ClaimScope may identify potential issues, compare review lanes, organize evidence, and generate draft materials. It does not file a claim or appeal, communicate with VA for the user, extend a deadline, guarantee eligibility, or promise an outcome. Users remain responsible for verifying all deadlines, forms, facts, and submissions.
Medical work product
A generated nexus-letter draft is a clinician work aid, not a medical opinion. A qualified clinician must independently review the evidence, supply professional reasoning, edit or reject the draft, and sign only if the final opinion is genuinely the clinician’s own.
Accuracy and record limitations
Automated extraction, OCR, and model-assisted analysis may be incomplete or wrong. Results depend on the completeness and readability of the uploaded record. Users must review source citations, limitations, and unresolved questions before acting.
Acceptable use
Users may upload only records they are authorized to provide. Users may not upload malware, unlawfully obtained records, unrelated third-party records, or material intended to disrupt or misuse the service.
Private-launch availability
The current service is a limited private launch. Features may change, processing may pause, and access may be restricted while security and reliability testing continues. Commercial terms, refund rules, governing law, dispute procedures, and operating-company details will be finalized before public launch.
