What ClaimScope processes
ClaimScope may process account information, contact details you provide, VA claim records, medical records, service records, decisions, correspondence, uploaded files, generated work product, payment status, and security and audit events.
Why we process it
We use this information to authenticate users, receive and inventory files, perform the requested record analysis, generate requested work product, conduct requested attorney-intake conflicts and eligibility screening, maintain security, provide support, process payments, and comply with legal obligations. We do not authorize use of a Veteran’s records for unrelated advertising or sale.
Representation-document data
After a post-decision matter clears eligibility, conflicts, and written attorney acceptance, the Veteran may enter identity and contact data to prefill the approved engagement agreement and VA appointment documents. The data is transmitted through the protected signed-in session to the electronic-signature provider. ClaimScope does not intentionally add the raw form-entry values to the attorney-intake database. The completed packet and its audit trail are returned to account-scoped storage and made available to the Veteran and accepted attorneys.
Service providers
ClaimScope uses managed website and storage infrastructure, DigitalOcean for dedicated large-file processing, OpenAI for model-assisted analysis, Stripe for payment services, Docusign for electronic signatures, and Resend for transactional notices when those integrations are enabled. Sensitive records and signed documents are not attached to notification emails. Each provider receives only the information reasonably needed for its role. ClaimScope is not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Security
Production intake remains locked while ClaimScope completes vendor, privacy, malware-scanning, retention, incident-response, and security verification. When enabled, files will be transmitted over encrypted connections, stored in account-scoped object storage, scanned before analysis, and processed through authenticated internal services. No system can promise absolute security. Do not place a Social Security number or full VA file number in a matter title.
Retention and deletion
During the private launch, matter files and generated results remain until the user permanently deletes the matter or ClaimScope removes them for security, legal, or operational reasons. Matter deletion removes the uploaded objects and associated application records. Backup and provider logs may persist temporarily under provider retention schedules. A defined default retention period will be published before public launch.
Self-service and separate attorney engagement
Use of ClaimScope’s self-service product does not create an attorney-client relationship. A separate post-decision pathway may result in an attorney engagement only after issue-specific eligibility and conflicts review, express written acceptance, signatures by all required parties, and completion of the disclosed payment step. An intake request or payment attempt alone does not appoint a representative.
Your choices
You may choose not to upload records, may delete a matter from the dashboard, and may request support concerning access or deletion. Do not use ClaimScope for an emergency or rely on it to preserve a filing deadline.
Private-launch status
Sensitive-document intake is disabled. This notice describes the present private-launch system and will be revised before public availability to include the operating company, contact channel, governing jurisdiction, final retention period, and any legally required state-specific disclosures.
Security and service-provider transparency
See How ClaimScope protects Veteran records and the service-provider register for current safeguards, launch verification, provider roles, and production approval status.
