ClaimScope attorney-advised service

Work with ClaimScope’s founding VA-accredited attorneys.

This is not a directory or referral to an unknown attorney. For qualifying issues VA has already decided, the ClaimScope founding attorney team screens the matter for fee eligibility, conflicts, deadlines, and fit for a strategy engagement or full representation.

Issue-specific eligibility

A prior decision on another disability does not automatically open the fee gate. Each condition, rating, effective date, and benefit theory is screened separately.

Conflicts before advice

Submitting an intake request does not create representation. Attorney review begins only after conflicts clearance and written acceptance.

Forms prepared for signature

After acceptance, ClaimScope prepares the current VA Form 21-22a and applicable engagement and fee documents with known information populated for review and signature.

Required sequence

A clear path from review to secure payment.

  1. 1Confirm that VA issued an initial decision on the specific issue.
  2. 2Identify the exact decision, issue, deadline, review lane, and representation history.
  3. 3The ClaimScope founding attorneys complete conflicts, fee-eligibility, and capacity review.
  4. 4If accepted, receive the written scope, responsible attorney, and exact fee.
  5. 5Review and sign the engagement documents and VA Form 21-22a.
  6. 6A secure Stripe checkout button appears in the Veteran’s ClaimScope account after the signed engagement packet is complete.
  7. 7Payment activates the accepted attorney-advised engagement and automatically notifies the Veteran and ClaimScope attorney team.
Not for a new initial claim. If VA has never decided the specific issue, paid attorney services may be unavailable. ClaimScope will preserve the self-service pathway and identify free accredited VSO options where appropriate.

Start with the decision already issued.

There is no charge to submit an eligibility request. If ClaimScope accepts the matter, the Veteran receives the exact scope and fee, signs the required documents, and pays through secure online checkout. No payment alone creates representation.
